Manchester named as second city for business
more business deals than any other city
Research this week has found Manchester to be the most active business hub outside of London.
New data shows that the city has seen more business deals completed in the first quarter of 2015 than any of the other eight big regional cities.
Manchester was also revealed to have one of the best performing office markets outside of London, with rents for office space in the city centre potentially seeing a record high of £35 per square foot due to such a phenomenal demand.
The news follows on from the Budget announcement made last month in which the Chancellor George Osborne discussed his vision of a Northern Powerhouse with Manchester as the driving force. The city has said to be “at the forefront of positive change”, with the Government alone investing £4 million.
