The Sequre team hit the ground running
The Great Manchester Run
Back in January, Sequre announced Francis House Children’s Hospice as our chosen charity to support throughout 2015. As part of our fundraising efforts, many of the team have hit the ground running and are taking part in this year’s Great Manchester 10K Run to raise vital funds for the hospice.
Taking place on Sunday 10th May, the run starts on Portland Street and spans out across Manchester and Salford before finishing near Deansgate Locks.
Sequre’s mixed bag of both regular and novice runners are currently training hard for the race, with many now running several times a week and timing their runs to push the boundaries and beat their personal bests – all whilst encouraging each other to push themselves for a good cause. With an after work running club planned over the next few weeks, the team are finding new ways to train together and keep the momentum going.
Who are Sequre's chosen charity?
Francis House provide essential care and a nurturing environment for children and young adults who suffer from life threatening conditions. Founded in 1991, they have continued to go above and beyond the essential needs and strive to help children and their families through what can be some very distressing situations. By creating a warm and happy environment, Francis House give the support and friendship to all those in need.
We are all very proud of the team for giving up their time for this fantastic cause. We have seen the support that Francis House gives; the work they do for children and young adults is truly unbelievable. They are a thoroughly deserving cause and we’re pleased to be supporting them and raising as much as we possibly can.
